In the morning of July 2nd 2013, Mr. Wu Tongdiao, Vice President & Secretary General of China International Council for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations (CICPMC) and his party, visited Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to China H.E. Mr. Valdemar Carneiro Leao, at the Embassy of Brazil in Beijing.

The talks were held in a friendly atmosphere. Ambassador Leao expressed his welcome to Mr. Wu Tongdiao, Vice President & Secretary General of CICPMC and his party. Mr. Wu Tongdiao presented CICPMC’s history of development, scope of business and its important performance in promoting the growth and cooperation among Chinese and foreign multinational corporations. Subsequently, he emphatically introduced the preparatory work of the ‘6th session of Multinational Corporations Leaders Roundtable (MCLR)’, pointed out the plan of convening a ‘Forum of CEOs from BRICS States’ during the MCLR and gave explanation of relevant ideas. Ambassador Leon highly praised CICPMC’s work in boosting the cooperation and exchange between Chinese and Brazilian multinational enterprises, expressed his consent and made suggestions to the ideas of the planned ‘Forum of CEOs from BRICS States’. Mr. Wu Tongdiao and Ambassador Leao stated their common hope of establishing a closer contact between CICPMC and the Embassy of Brazil in China, enhancing cooperation between Chinese and Brazilian large enterprises, and create an efficient platform for the Sino-Brazilian bilateral trade and investment.

Ms. Tatiana Rosito, Minister & Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Brazil, Mr. Hayle Gadelha, Head of the Trade and Investment Promotion Office of Embassy of Brazil, Mr. Wang Yin, Deputy Secretary-General & Director General of the International Center of CICPMC and Mr. XU Jiazhen, Project Agent of the International Center of CICPMC were present.
