Jointly organized by the China Association for the Study of International Multinational Corporations and seven United Nations agencies, including the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the Development Programme, the Industrial Development Organization, the Environment Programme, the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the Global Compact, and the Southern Center, The 'Second CEO Roundtable Conference of Chinese and Foreign Multinational Companies' jointly organized by the Chaoyang District People's Government of Beijing and the China Association for the Study of International Multinational Companies was grandly held at the China Hotel in Beijing from November 14th to 16th, 2008.

Cheng Siwei, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 10th National People's Congress, served as the Chairman of the Organizing Committee and presided over the entire meeting.

The 'CEO Roundtable Conference of Chinese and Foreign Multinational Companies' is a large-scale international high-end conference approved by the Ministry of Commerce. The high degree of internationalization and great influence are the distinctive features of this conference. The theme of the conference is 'Strengthening International Cooperation and Promoting Sustainable Development'.
