In the new era, 'the door of China's opening up will not be closed, but will only become wider and wider' and 'promote the formation of a new pattern of comprehensive opening up'. From December 6th to 7th, 2017, the '10th International Multinational Corporation Leaders Roundtable' was held at the Liangmahe Conference Center in Beijing, sponsored by 12, the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the United Nations Environment Programme, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the United Nations Global Compact Organization, and the United Nations University for Peace. The theme of this session is 'New Era, New Goals, Opportunities and Development for Multinational Companies'.


The agenda of this conference is divided into two days. On the afternoon of December 6th, the 'China Kazakhstan Multinational Corporation Leaders Roundtable Conference' and the 'Global Investment Network' symposium were held. At the China Kazakhstan Conference, 12 signed a friendly cooperation framework agreement with the Kazakhstan China Council for the Promotion of International Investment and Trade, and facilitated the signing of a cooperation agreement between Huili Investment Fund and Kazakhstan on the China Kazakhstan Railway Reconstruction Project.


After the opening ceremony of the conference on the morning of December 7th, Guests from all walks of life expressed their views on six topics, including 'the supply side structural reform of China's economy and the mutual benefit and win-win situation of countries along the the Belt and Road', 'Chinese enterprises' participation in international division of labor - new patterns and new problems', 'the future of economic globalization and free trade', 'the era of Industry 4.0- the incremental market of multinational companies', 'the new trend of coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei', 'clean energy and sustainable development', and looked forward to the future; On the afternoon of December 7, four dialogues were held. The moderator and guests focused on four major topics, namely, 'opportunities for transnational corporations brought by China's economic structural and kinetic adjustment', 'never forget the original intention, responsibilities and challenges for food and drug security under global co governance', 'mutually beneficial cooperation under the the Belt and Road Initiative and economic development of inland provinces in China', and 'financial cooperation of transnational corporations in the the Belt and Road Initiative' Conduct in-depth discussions from multiple dimensions. After successfully completing various agendas at this conference, the 2017 'Top 300 Multinational Companies in China' list was released.


Zheng Wantong, Vice Chairman and 12th Chairman of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Multinational Corporation Leaders Roundtable Conference, as well as Zhou Tienong, Vice Chairman of the 9th/10th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Vice Chairman of the 11th Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and 12th Special Invited Chairman, attended the meeting. Dr. Francisco Rojas, President of the United Nations University for Peace, read out a congratulatory letter from United Nations Secretary General Guterres to the General Assembly and delivered a speech. Qian Keming, Vice Minister of Commerce of China, Yang Bin, Vice Mayor of Beijing Municipal Government, Zhang Feng, Member of the Party Group and Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, and other government officials. Wei Sile, Member of the Executive Committee of Royal Dutch Shell Group, President of Integrated Natural Gas and New Energy, and Global Vice President. Shen Ling, Chief Accountant and Party Member of China Minmetals Corporation, and General Manager of China Minmetals Corporation, Zhang Keli, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China Nonferrous Mining Group Co., Ltd., Zhou Qiang, Chairman and Secretary of the Party Committee of China Aviation Oil Group, Jiang Yafei, Vice President of Huawei Technology Co., Ltd., and Jiang Weiming, Global Senior Executive Vice President of Royal DSM Group and President of DSM China, among others, delivered exciting keynote speeches at the conference.
